The GV-Video Server takes video from up to two standard CCTV cameras and compresses and digitizes the video for transmission over an IP network. MPEG4 hardware compression is featured for high levels of compression coupled with good video quality. The result is video that can be viewed on a mobile device or PC/Laptop with standard Internet browser or recorded on a remote PC, SMS V Series DVR or external USB hard drive.

The SMS RVS/04 Video Server takes video from up to four standard CCTV cameras and compresses and digitizes the video for transmission over an IP network. H.264 hardware compression is featured for maximum levels of compression coupled with best video quality. The result is video that can be viewed on a mobile device or PC/Laptop with standard Internet browser or recorded on a remote PC, SMS R Series DVR or external USB hard drive.

A major benefit of video servers is that Cat 5 LAN cable is used for video transmission so that the video server(s) can be installed in areas where installing coax cable would be difficult and/or where an existing LAN connection is already present. Video can even be sent over the Internet from remote locations for inclusion in a DVR or NVR installation,

These packages reflect a discount from the normal total price of their contents. Three packages are available with all necessary equipment included, as are installation instructions. Additional equipment such as different Security Cameras, Outdoor Housings for security cameras and/or auto-iris lenses can also be added at a discount. Minor changes to standard packages can be accommodated (e.g. different cable lengths).
